Sometimes I do some gigs on the side to make an extra buck. I mainly do video editing but I also do recording on the side. I usually record with a DSLR and my phone camera. I needed a solution where I could record from multiple angles with several phones without having to control them individually. Especially when I’m recording an interview, it is nice to switch between angles. So here comes my solution: Remote Camera Trigger (RCT). This app allows you to trigger the camera on multiple phones from a single control center.
This app allows the user to remote control multiple phones and lets them act as a multi-cam setup. This can be used when a user wants to record a scene or take a photo from multiple angles without having to walk up to every camera and press record. The user will be able to assign the camera to multiple groups to start recording/taking photos at the same time.
The app is built with Flutter, Dart, and MobX. For the backend, I used Firestore, Cloud functions, Firebase auth, and javascript.
